Sheet Metal Fabrication
Another essential service that SmarterFab offers is sheet metal fabrication. All the popular technologies used to fabricate a sheet metal part are available for you to choose, including cutting, bending, stamping, welding, and assembling. And you could choose from a wide variety of materials and surface finishes to produce quality parts that exactly meet your needs. We could handle both prototype and full-scale production runs.

What is Sheet Metal Fabrication?
Sheet metal fabrication is the process of manufacturing parts and structures out of metal sheets through various fabrication methods. Cutting, bending, stamping, welding, and assembling are some of the well-known sheet metal fabrication techniques.
Sheets of various types of steel, aluminum, brass, copper, and other metals/alloys find use in various industries for part manufacturing. The thickness of sheet metal is usually between 0.008″ (0.2mm) and 0.25″ (6.35mm).
Our Advantages:

Laser Cutting
Laser cutting is highly accurate and capable of cutting dissimilar thicknesses at the same time. Low heat-affected zone, it can also cut hole diameters under half a material thickness.

Bending
Bending is one of the most common sheet metal fabrication process. We use this method to deform a material to an angular shape.
This is done through the application of force on a workpiece. The force must exceed the material’s yield strength to achieve a plastic deformation. Only then can you get a lasting result in the form of a bend.
